Message from the APAN60 Hong Kong Organizing Committee Chair

It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to all esteemed attendees of the upcoming 60th Asia-Pacific Advanced Network (APAN60) conference, scheduled to take place in the vibrant city of Hong Kong from 28 July to 1 August 2025.

APAN, an international non-profit organization, established in 1997 and registered as a corporation in 2009, consists of core members from National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) across the Asia-Pacific region. Through its initiatives, APAN has been at the forefront of driving innovation, advocating the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, fostering international collaboration, and nurturing human resources crucial to these pursuits. The biannual APAN meetings have consistently drawn around 300 participants from over 30 economies, showcasing a diverse and enriching exchange of ideas and expertise.

It is our pleasure to announce that APAN60 represents a significant milestone as we convene in Hong Kong, a bustling centre of innovation and connectivity. This gathering marks the second time we have been hosting an APAN meeting physically in Hong Kong since APAN42 in 2016. We are enthusiastic about this opportunity to explore new horizons and cultivate enduring partnerships. Building on the successes of past conferences, we are dedicated to establishing an interactive platform that nurtures collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technological advancements.

I cordially invite you to join us in making APAN60 a memorable and fruitful event, as we collaborate to shape the future of networking and education in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
